Can I collect my order from the store?

Yes, instead of having a courier delivery you can choose to pick your shopping up from Joshua's Harvest Store in Ottery St Mary. Simply choose your products online and pick the 'collect from store' option when you get to the check out. You will need to let us know which day you are coming to pick up the order - this can be entered into the delivery notes box. You will also need to pay through the website but this will make it very quick and easy to collect your shopping as we will have it all boxed up ready for you.

Customers collecting from Store will be able to collect on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas Day and Easter Sunday) in addition to Monday to Friday.  Unless you have stated a particular collection date, if your order has been placed before 9.30am and all the items are in stock, the order will be ready for collection 2pm that day. If all of the items are in stock, orders placed after 9.30am will be ready to collect by 2pm the following day. If there are items to order we will contact you as soon as possible to tell you when they will be ready.

Have you considered booking a table at the cafe, 'Joshua's Table', to have a cream tea when you pop in?

If you are going on holiday you could arrange to pick your order up on the way past us and take it with you. We are ideally placed if you are travelling to the Jurassic Coast or further into Devon, as we are not far from the A30. Ottery St Mary also makes a nice day out. Find directions to our store at How to Find Us or put our postcode 'EX11 1NU' into your satellite navigation system.

Can I order by post?

Unfortunately we do not accept orders by post. You can order from a wide range of our products at www.joshuasharveststore.co.uk and it is very easy to shop online. Payment has to be made on the website or we can take your order and credit card details over the phone.

Can I specify a delivery day?

If you wish to receive your delivery on a particular day please include this in the delivery notes section, and we will pick and despatch accordingly. Please refer to the section 'How long will it take for my order to arrive?' for more information on delivery times.

Do I need to be at home in order to receive a delivery?

Someone will need to be available to sign for the delivery, unless otherwise specified. If you would like your order left somewhere please state this in the delivery note section. However, please remember it will be left there at your own risk.

The Hippo Box is a great way to let you receive deliveries safely at any time of the day. Your shopping can be left in the secure box until you arrive home. If you would like your parcel left in your Hippo Box please specify on the delivery notes section.

How can I search for products on the website?

There is a search button on the left menu of the website. This will lead you to the search box. You can choose to search within the store only, or across the whole website. Simply type in what you are looking for and click search. Searching across the whole website includes recipes and newsletter articles.

How do I update my personal details?

To update your details simply login to the website and click on 'my details' on the burgundy bar underneath the big picture. Choose 'my details' from the list, make any changes that you want then press the update button for the relevant section.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

If your order is placed before 9.30am, Monday - Thursday, we will endeavour to dispatch that day so you will receive next day delivery, unless you have stated otherwise. Orders placed after 9.30am will be picked the following day so delivery can be expected two working days after ordering. All courier delivery orders are normally delivered within five working days. Deliveries cannot be made over the weekend, except by arrangement by telephone, and these will incurr an extra charge. Any orders placed after 9.30am on Thursday will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

If the order is a gift can I attach a message for the recipient?

If you are sending your order to another recipient as a gift we can include a special message of your choice. Please add your instruction to do so in the delivery notes section of the online order form.  We will then reproduce the message onto a message card exactly as you have typed it.

Is it safe to order through your website?

The privacy of our website members and the security of their details is very important to us. We ensure that any information collected when using the website will never be given, traded, sold, released or otherwise communicated in any form to any third party. When you place an order on our website the money transaction is handled by our secure payments provider. Your credit card number is encrypted using 128 bit encryption and the number is not held in clear text on any website.

Is there a minimum order level?

Yes, there is a minimum order level of £10, excluding delivery charges.

My order has not arrived yet, what shall I do?

If your delivery does not arrive on your specified date, or within 5 days of you placing an order, please contact us by calling 01404 815473 or sending an email to website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk. Please be aware that if your order included items that were not currently in stock the order will take longer to be dispatched (please refer to the 'What if the item I would like to purchase is out of stock?' section).

Some of your items are not local and have been transported to the UK, why is this?

Here at Joshua's we try to provide you with a convenient mix of high quality products. Whilst we are very conscious of the environment and our effect on it we do have to source some products from further away. We can guarentee that we always choose these products very carefully. We also stock a large number of locally produced items - look out for the special icon.

What does it mean if an item shows the organic symbol and why should I buy it?

What forms of payment do you accept?

We can accept payment on our website through the following debit or credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit/Delta, Visa Electron, UK Maestro or Solo.

What if I decide to cancel my order?

If you decide to cancel your order before it has been packed and dispatched we will send you a full refund. You need to contact us by phone, 01404 815473 or email website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk (marked urgent) if this is the case. Please bear in mind that we pick orders either later that day or the next day, our orders are then collected by the courier in the afternoon. If an order has already been dispatched we can not cancel it, however we will give you a refund for any items that you return to us.

What if I don't want to type my credit card details online?

It is very safe to shop on our website and the payments go through a secure server. We do not hold any of your credit/debit card details ourselves. To find out more please refer to 'Is it safe to order through your website?'

What if I want to add something to my order?

If there is something you would like to add to your order please call us on 01404 815473 or email website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk. We will have to take an additional payment for the item but will be happy to add it to your parcel if it has not already been packed.

What if I want to take delivery outside of the UK?

At this point in time we are not able to deliver outside of the UK.

What if the item I would like to purchase is out of stock?

If an item you would like to purchase is marked as out of stock please place your order and we will get the goods to you as soon as possible.

If you have a full basket of shopping and only a few of the items are out of stock then either we can hold your order until we are ready to send everything, or you can choose to pay postage and packaging twice so that we can send you the items that are available straight away and send the rest when it arrives in stock.

What should I do if I want to order in large quantities?

If you want to enquire about ordering larger quantities then you will need to contact us. In this instance please email website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk, or ring 0207 5588021 leaving a message with your name and number and we will ring you back as soon as possible.

Why don't you sell....?

If there is something you want that you can't find on our website please email us at website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk and ask. We are always open to suggestions and may be able to source the item in the future.and may be able to source the the item in the future.

What if I need to return something?

Please email us at website@joshuasharveststore.co.uk or ring us on 01404 815473 to inform us that the item is being returned. Once we have recieved the item we will send you a refund. Please note that you must inform us that you would like to return the item within 2 days of receiving the goods. The items must then be returned to us within 7 days of you informing us, in accordance with our returns policy. Returns must be well wrapped and packaged, if the item breaks in the post due to poor packaging we will not be able to offer you a refund.
