Ashridge Cider
Joshua’s are pleased to add Ashridge Sparkling Cider, which can best be described as Cider Champagne, and Ashridge Devon Blush, to our range of locally produced drinks.
The sparkling cider is a delicate, refreshing, crisp sparkling drink with delicious apple aromas and flavours. It is perfect served chilled as an apperetif at a special occasion, or would be a real treat with a summer lunch.
Ashridge Devon Blush is sweeter than the standard sparkler and with the additional splash of blackcurrant liqueur it has more than a hint of berry. This innovative and enjoyable product is a clear competitor for Kir Royale.
Ashridge uses a large variety of cider apples that are grown on organically certified orchards in South Devon. The ciders endure a two stage fermentation process lasting eighteen months. This allows them to develop the characteristics of a classic wine based champagne. Ashridge have received considerable acclaim and won several awards including one at the 2005 Devon County Show and 1st prize in the 2005 International Cider Competition.
