Lavazza coffee is decaffeinated ground coffee roasted in the Italian way.

Lavazza was founded by Luigi Lavazza and he first opened for business on the 24th of march 1894. In the early 1900's Luigi Lavazza first invented the concept of the blend, the complex art of mixing coffee of different origins to obtain a harmonious and tasty product in the cup. Today Lavazza is the leader in terms of quality and is recognised throughout the world as the symbol of Italian espresso and being Italian. Spreading the aroma and quality of Italian espresso around the world has always been their main aim. To achieve it they strive for excellence and innovation, drawing strength from their experience established over more than a century of activity. Economic development, environmental protection and respect for individuals and different cultures have always been constant values for the Lavazza family and they engages in activities aimed at improving living conditions and social and production structures in countries such as Africa and Central and South America (etc.), where coffee production plays a determinant role in the national economy.

Vegan - All of these products state they are suitable for vegans on their packaging. They contain no animal products of any kind.

Vegetarian - These products all state that they are vegetarian / vegan on their packaging. Items that are naturally suitable for vegetarians are not included.

Gluten-Free - These products all carry an on-pack claim stating that they are gluten free.

Ethical - To classify as ethical all of these products have had to meet Joshua’s own strict ethical criteria, meaning we consider them to be ethically produced.

Biodynamic - Biodynamic products are those that have been produced using biodynamic methods. More information on biodynamic agriculture .

Local - Local products have all been produced in Devon or within one hour of our store.

Wheat-Free - These products all claim they are wheat free on their packaging

Joshua’s - These products are all either Joshua’s branded, or made by our chef and his team here on site.
