Percol

Percol was launched in 1987 by Food Brands Group. From the outset, Percol was dedicated to ethical trading and environemtal sustainability, while refusing to compromise on quality or taste. Percol doesn't source their beans from large commercial estaes, instead they search out small plantations in different regions of Central and Southern America. These are often run by the indigenous population and benefiting from natural soil enrichment and microclimates that allow the coffee to develop its full, natural character. Where possible they choose Fairtrade coffee beans and buy from organic growers who carefully hand pick the red cherries just when they are ripe and perfect for harvesting. Percol Fairtrade Nicaragua Ground Coffee was one of the first Fairtrade Roast and Ground coffees in the UK and his since won 3 top taste awards. They also introduced the UK to its first delicious sip of Organic coffee in the mid-nineties.
