A pump-action spray made with refreshing tangy essential oils of lemon and sweet orange with a light summer scent to counteract unpleasant body odours without inhibiting the important fuctions of the skin. Free from aluminium salts. Weleda deodorants are simple yet thoroughly effective formulations with odour eating essential oils incorporated into a cooling base. They inhibit the development of unpleasant body odour without interfering with the skins natural functioning.  They are effective deodorants not anti-perspirants. (Anti-perspirants work by inhibiting perspiration, usually by blocking the pores with aluminium salts). It is not possible to have a natural anti-perspirant. The fine spray dries within seconds leaving no stickiness and the aroma quickly disperses. Weleda deodorants are suitable for all the family. They can be used on the feet to refresh and revitalise - especially good in the summer months. They can even be used to freshen the car or any room. As well as the Citrus Deodorant we also have Sage Deodorant and Wild Rose Deodorant - all available in a handy 30ml size and a larger 100ml bottle.

Weleda

Weleda was founded in Switzerland in 1921 by Dutch medical doctor Ita Wegman and famous philosopher Rudolf Steiner. The company was then established in the UK in 1925. Weleda aim to help everyone restore health and maintain wellbeing. They are committed to doing so naturally, ethically, safely, without animal experimentation and without damaging the environment. They avoid using artificial ingredients, using only raw materials from the natural world. Where possible they use bipdynamic or organic ingredients, and infact Weleda pioneered the use of such ingredients in the personal care industry. Weleda grow a lot of their own ingredients in Derbyshire with guidance from the local Wildlife Trust to protect local diversity. When they can't grow the neccessary ingredients themselves Weleda buy through fair trade agreements or used controlled certified collection of abundant wild ingredients.

Vegetarian - These products all state that they are vegetarian / vegan on their packaging. Items that are naturally suitable for vegetarians are not included.

Gluten-Free - These products all carry an on-pack claim stating that they are gluten free.

Ethical - To classify as ethical all of these products have had to meet Joshua’s own strict ethical criteria, meaning we consider them to be ethically produced.

Biodynamic - Biodynamic products are those that have been produced using biodynamic methods. More information on biodynamic agriculture .

Local - Local products have all been produced in Devon or within one hour of our store.

Wheat-Free - These products all claim they are wheat free on their packaging

Joshua’s - These products are all either Joshua’s branded, or made by our chef and his team here on site.
